Lasermedia USA made VNC-8 Vinyl Record Cleaning Fluid is now available here in kit form, with a high quality 12 inch hand washable microfiber record cleaning cloth! This cloth has been well researched and tested to do the cleaning job expected without scratching your recordings. The knit of the microfiber cloth gets down in the grooves where the dirt is, and lifts the remaining fluid and the dirt out of the grooves. (Smooth cloths some are selling as record cleaning cloths simply can't do this and are better suited for, perhaps, cleaning eyeglasses.) Edge sewn for longer life.
To use, simply spray VNC-8 fluid on your record avoiding the label. Move the cloth in the direction of the grooves, not across the grooves. If you get any over spray on the label, simply pat the label dry with the cloth. If your record is very dirty, repeat cleaning. Allow record to dry before use.
VNC-8 does not contain any dyes or fragrances which can stain your record label and contaminate your vinyl with damaging fragrance oils which can attack your vinyl. We could never understand why some companies add dyes and fragrances since it's unnecessary, and bad for your recordings.
The VNC-8-K kit comes with a white, heavy duty storage box, not an annoying hard plastic clam shell. Perfect as a gift item for any vinyl lover, even yourself!
Note: This product cannot restore damaged grooves, as no cleaning fluid can achieve this. Do not use any record cleaning fluids, no matter who makes them, with any carbon fiber brushes, or you can damage the carbon fibers. Carbon fiber brushes are designed to remove static and do some dry dirt removal, but they are never as effective as a good wet system in removing dirt.
