Description
Vintage composition HEAD ONLY (no body) for a strung 17" Horsman Bright Star dollfrom 1930's and into 1940's.
This doll's body was damaged badly, but the head is excellent. If someone has a bad head and a good body, this would be ideal or if someone needs a perfect mohair wig.
Composition head
with no cracks or crazing has hazel sleep eyes with shaded lids, real upper lashes (none missing), painted lower lashes, single stroke eyebrows, blushed cheeks, open mouth with 4 teeth, & red lip color.
Note: The first photo kind of looks like she has a forehead crack, but it is just a hair. I pulled her bangs back and took a photo of her forehead to show that there is no crack (please see photo).
Wig:
Blonde mohair wig in long braids and curly bangs is in excellent condition in original set with braids never undone and with hair ribbons still tied in.
For reference only, the last two photos are from "Collector's Guide to Horsman Dolls, 1865-1950" by Don Jensen.
The first photo of sketched Bright Stars is from pg. 168 and the second photo showing a 17" Bright Star is from pg. 187.
No returns please. Thank you.
